The boutique vineyard on the ranch, was planted in 2003, and has since grown to approximately 10,000 grape vines, making it one of the largest vineyards in San Diego’s mountain region where the wine grapes thrive in the long, warm days of Southern California.  ​  The handcrafted wines produced at Campo Creek reflect the friendly and rustic environment of the ranch, as well as the dedication and hard work of the Clarke family. Welcome to Deerhorn Valley Vineyards.   We are a small family run Boutique Winery located in beautiful Deerhorn Valley in the San Diego foothills below the iconic Lions Peak in SE San Diego County.  We have our own vineyard on the property with 5 varietals bathed in the San Diego County sunshine.  All our wine is made in hand crafted small batches, most Reds aged in Oak.  We offer a full range of Whites, Rose's and Red's plus Blends. Stock rotates often due to low volume small batches.  When we have enough, we can have some wine sold in local stores, but we don't distribute. We prefer you to join us for a tasting so you know what you're buying. And besides, you'll really want to meet your host, Dianne!  In addition to our award winning wine, we also stock excellent flavored Olive Oil, produced in Central Calif. And Balsamic Vinegar imported from Italy. You won't find this in the stores. The Garlic, Basil, & Blood Orange Olive Oils, are fresh pressed together NOT infused - this means both the fresh Herbs/Fruit and Olives are pressed together at the same time. The taste is amazing. You won't find this anywhere else in town.  Our Pergola is open, so bring a picnic meal or snack to enjoy with your wine.  Also, New outside seating, Front and Rear, and Parking Lot upgrade complete.

 Menghini  Winery is just above 4000 ft, nestled at the foothills of Volcan Mountain. The winery is located 2.5 miles outside of the historical town of Julian, Ca. We are the second oldest winery in San Diego County and the oldest in Julian, Ca. The winery is surrounded by apple orchards and a six acre vineyard. We have expansive picnic grounds with gorgeous 365 degree views of the countryside . Menghini Winery produces approximately 4,000 cases of wine annually. Our wine maker and co owner, Michael Menghini, started his wine career at San Pasqual Winery (now known as Orfila Winery) in the 70s. Michael continued his wine making career as assistant wine maker at Callaway Winery and wine maker at Filsinger Winery (now know as Danza del Sol Winery). In 1980, Michael and his beautiful wife, Toni, purchased Menghini Winery.

About the Winery 

On a north facing hillside overlooking the Ramona Valley AVA sits Woof’n Rose Winery and its vineyards.  Stephen and Marilyn Kahle own and operate the vineyard and winery with help from three sons and their respective families.  The Kahle’s love of dogs, and rose bushes surrounding the winery, give a clue as to how aptly the winery is named. 

 Woof'n Rose logo glass with dark red wine against a backdrop of lavender flowers.  Woof’n Rose makes all of its wines from Ramona Valley grapes, most estate grown on premises.  Annual production is 300 to 350 cases per year. The specialty is Cabernet Franc, but the small vineyards also include all of the other classic Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot, as well as Grenache Noir and Alicante Bouschet; the wines reflect these varietals and blends comprised of them.  When you visit Woof’n Rose Winery for tasting you will sit on an outdoor veranda, overlooking the vineyards and the Ramona Valley, and will chat directly with the owners who double as grower, winemaker, and marketer.
